The Senior eCommerce front-end engineer provides leadership, direction, and implementation on technical projects that affect all client brand e-commerce sites.

In this role, you will work within a team to implement new features and functionality as well as maintain, support, and upgrade existing functionality.

In addition, you will utilize prior eCommerce experience to identify and implement improvements in current technology implementations.


Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the UI tier making use of industry best practices
• Implement rapid updates to fulfill changing business and marketing requirements
• Develop functional and technical documentation and designs for assigned projects
• Work within a team environment, supporting the team goals, and improving web development engineering practices
• Analyze and optimize frontend architecture and maximize page performance
• Utilize SASS to create responsive page layouts and styles
• Develop code consistent with client standard coding practices

Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of the concept of progressive enhancement
• Indepth knowledge of mobilefirst responsive design
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• A firm grasp of SEO / SEM best practices
• Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment, and production support.
• Experience developing code compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG)
• Experience with CI/CD theory and automated testing workflows
• Must Speak English

Technologies:

Senior or Lead level Experience/Proficiency in writing custom TypeScript, , HTML5, CSS#

• Expertise in writing semantic, modular frontend code using HTML5, SASS/CSS3, and W3C coding practices
• Understanding & experience using various Javascript design patterns (MVC, Flux, Redux)
• Experience with unit testing and testdriven development (Jasmine, Karma, or similar)
• Experience with CSS frameworks (ex. SASS, LESS)

• Experience with ES

• Experience with workflow automation using Grunt/Gulp
• Expertise in performance optimization using tools such as YSlow or PageSpeed
• SF Commerce Cloud is a huge bonus
