    **Head of Studies Role at What's Up in Malaga**

    We are expanding our presence in Spain, and this is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Head of Studies at our new academy in Malaga. Our company, What's Up, specializes in teaching English as a second language with 26 centres across the country.

    This role involves managing a didactic team, planning class schedules, and fostering a highly social environment that characterizes our centres.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Manage, train, support, and supervise the didactic team to ensure their professional growth.
    • Schedule time-tables based on class demand and centre needs.
    • Teach classes when necessary and find substitutions for absent teachers.
    • Conduct quality control through ongoing training, staff meetings, class observations, and performance evaluations.
    • Liaise with consultants, create good rapport with students, and address any issues related to class changes or complaints.
    • Coordinate teacher holidays, Saturday rotas, and school bank holidays.
    • Meet with management to discuss various aspects of the centre.
    • Promote and organize Have Fun Open Activities (events) and ensure the didactic staff is prepared.

    The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, be able to motivate and support a team, and have experience in teaching English as a second language. A salary of **€50,000 - €60,000 per year** is offered for this position, depending on qualifications and experience.
