  • NES Fircroft has been exclusively retained by C2X to recruit a Senior Process Engineer to be based in Madrid, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Process workscopes including Basis of Design (Methanol, Electrolysis, Balance of Plant)
  • Develop process innovation and initiatives to increase production efficiency and reduce costs
  • Lead and oversee process simulations, studies and experiments to evaluate the feasibility and impact of process changes.
  • Support in market engagement with supply chain, e.g. RFI, RFQ and associated technical bid evaluations and due diligence, with a focus on technology vendors and service providers
  • Checking / reviewing of engineering consultant deliverables
  • Provide technology (electrolysis, methanol synthesis & distillation) process engineering expertise (e.g. specification production, equipment supplier proposal evaluation, support design reviews and studies, testing and commissioning)
  • Develop critical process flow data tracking, and the overall creation of a robust process engineering workflow
  • Input to RAM (Reliability Availability Maintainability) studies
  • Participation in key technical risk workshops (HAZOP, HAZID, HAZAN)
  • Production of technical notes / powerpoints / key decision memos for management

Accountable For

  • Ongoing input to and management of Basis of Design and Project Specifications
  • Industrial plant sizing and process optimization
  • Inputs to CAPEX and OPEX estimate development
  • Developing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with OEMs and Technology Licensors

Key Interdependencies
Internal stakeholders- Senior Management / Leadership Team (Joint Venture)

  • Owners Engineering team

External stakeholders:

  • Partners and Local Authorities
  • Technology licensors and providers
  • Equipment vendors
  • Engineering consultants
  • Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent BSC, Chartered Engineer
  • Minimum 10 years experience, mostly in industrial / petrochemical plants
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English languages preferred, written and oral
  • Hold full Spanish working rights
  • Team leadership skills, well organized and has the ability to juggle multiple demands whilst delivering on time
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in new technologies related to green transition: Green H2, Green Methanol and/or other sustainable carbon solutions
  • Competency in essential software (e.g. AspenTech, HYSYS, Word, Excel)
  • Strong simulation skills and analysis
  • Innovative mindset
