The Development Analyst performs financial analysis, drafts IC, equity and loan memos, prepares and monitors market research, and rental comps; prepares responses to questions and due diligence inquiries from capital partners and lenders.

In addition, the Development Analyst tracks and reports on the status of the development transactions within the assigned geographic markets.

_ Key Role Responsibilities:
_

Conducts financial analysis of development opportunities, including the creation of detailed proforma and financial models. Gathers, compiles, investigates, and analyses market data to identify potential development opportunities, and prepares narrative development memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries that provide insights on proposed acquisitions.
Establishes and maintains productive relationships with local market brokers, institutional and equity partners, lenders, real estate owners, and other key stakeholders, and appropriately manages ongoing communications related to proposed development transactions.
Identifies, investigates, and refers potential acquisitions and other real estate transactions to appropriate Greystar leadership, and assists in preparing financial, market, and other documents required for new business pitches and RFPs.
Organizes, leads, and/or participates in the due diligence on properties under contract, and develops documentation and recommendations on key findings that may affect the return and financial performance of the proposed deal.
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of proposed development transactions within the assigned geographic region, establishes critical timelines and deadlines for tasks and activities related to the proposed transaction, and identifies and effectively addresses issues or problems that could otherwise adversely affect closing.
Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.

_ Knowledge & Qualifications:
_

IT literate and fully conversant with all Microsoft packages including PowerPoint (Advanced level) and Excel (Advanced level).
Knowledge of multifamily (build to rent), student or related industry developments.

_ Experience & Skills:
_

Essential:_
Demonstrated experience in an analytical role within investment banking, private equity, or other related finance field, within related geographical territories.
Proven exposure in financial modelling, valuations and financial analysis.
Experience in research gathering, analysis, reporting and presentation of financial and business specific data.
Highly numerate, with strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively write and present reports and information.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.
Good organisation skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
Naturally inquisitive and commercially minded, with a desire to understand the bigger picture and contribute to understanding and solving problems.
A positive team player, with an adaptable and flexible approach along with ability to work collaboratively to drive results and support the wider team and business objectives.
An ability to identify and appreciate the needs/strengths of others to help achieve business objectives optimally.
An interest in Real Estate.
Desirable:_
Demonstrable experience working in the Real Estate Sector.
Fluency in additional languages.
