Footwearology is an international innovation platform for the footwear industry.

Our mission is to reinvent the footwear supply chain, so we can produce footwear local-for-local and on demand, without waste, through automated processes that are enabling multiple lifecycles, including industrial repair, upgrading and end-of-life systems.

We partner with machine builders, material suppliers and software developers to create full design and manufacturing workflows featuring a range of technologies, such as knitting, molding and 3D printing.

We consult for leading brands and manufacturers around the world, have our own R&D lab in Barcelona, as wel as a global upskilling platform for footwear professionals.

Footwear Design Intern

As a design intern for Footwearology you are involved in design and research projects for a wide range of innovative footwear companies around the world.

You are also working on our own internal design research projects that aim to reivent the way footwear is produced, so it can be modular, repairable, upgradable and circular.

At Footwearology all research centers around footwear construction, so we need you to have a keen interest in technology and materials.

Most of our shoes are 3D printed at our own 3D printing lab, so any experience in this field is welcome.

Most of what we do is in the field of sneakers and sports performance footwear, so we are looking for someone with a passion for this type of shoes.

This is a traineeship like no other, where you will gain invaluable skills that will kickstart your career. You will be working in an international team, so we need you to speak English at a professional level. The traineeship is for six months, starting from January 2024. We cannot accept shorter internships
