Our client, an international financial services provider based in Madrid, seeks a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Tax Compliance Specialist. This key position involves managing tax-related matters for allocated portfolios with a focus on specific sectors. The selected candidate will work closely with the local and collaborative Tax team to achieve business objectives. Key responsibilities include: - Reviewing, inspecting, and analyzing various tax declarations - Conducting thorough reviews of internal and external prepared tax returns - Preparing or reviewing clients' tax compliance status reports - Providing technical support for Accounting and Legal departments regarding tax queries - Attending meetings or calls with clients and their advisors as needed, In this senior role, you will also be responsible for supervising junior colleagues within your designated area of responsibility. Your primary duties will involve workload management, quality control, monitoring portfolio obligations as well as overseeing junior roles while giving input on performance assessments. The ideal candidate should possess relevant education in taxation law (Degree educated) along with excellent written communication skills which are essential given that fluency in English is mandatory.
