    We are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to join our team based in Karshi Uzbekistan. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the GTL Syngas Island, which comprises of 2 Auto thermal Reformers, 2 Air Separation Units and a steam Methane reformer. You will also take the lead in establishing the core systems used to support the facility operation looking at where local technical support can be developed to ensure suitable responsiveness and achieve the excellent onstream values.

    As the Deputy Operations Manager, you will:

    • Lead the team of 5+
    • Use all Uzbek relevant HSE regulations applicable to the facility and developing plans on how they will need to be implemented at the facility to ensure compliance. Understand all AP key systems used to manage day – day operation of our existing facilities
    • Ensure KPI's are selected for all operating areas to drive the correct behavior and can be used to demonstrate facility performance internally, and to the customer.
    • Ensure that all learning's from the commissioning phase of UzGTL units 10/20/60 through to Beneficial Operation and changes to the facility during the first year are captured and change managed under a rigorous eMOC process.
    • Be responsible for the successful staffing of the UzGTL facility operations team and providing a team with the cross functional skills needed to support facility operation.
    • Ensure AP values, culture are instilled in the Operation team.
    • Develope and implement AP management systems used to support facility safety (LOTO, BSP, Work Safety, ITS), operational (SWIM's, eMOC) and environmental compliance (CM).

    As the Deputy Operations Manager you already are or have:

    • Engineering Degree (Chemical or Mechanical)
    • Minimum 10+ years in chemical, steel making or petro-chemical industry.
    • Demonstrated experience in startup and integration of large complex assets, ideally Haldor Topsoe ATR reactors or GTL processing equipment.
    • Ability to work in matrix organization, across functional and reporting relationships.
    • Ability to lead large multi-function teams.
    • Ability to understand complex commercial contracts and understand operational impacts.
    • Strong English and Uzbek capability, Russian will be plus
