The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Science Outreach and Education Officer to work in the Outreach Unit.

ICIQ is looking for a People Unit Manager.

The People Unit Manager is responsible for developing and implementing human resources policies aligned with the Institute's strategy, and managing all tasks related to labour relations, talent selection, learning and development.

He / she will report to the Administrative Director.


He / she will be responsible for a team of 3 specialists in the areas of labour relations, talent acquisition, learning, people development and grants.


Responsibilities:


  • Definition and execution of the human resources policies at ICIQ together with the Institute direction.
  • Develop and implement new and existing internal unit policies,

  • Management of all tasks related to labour relations, talent selection, learning, people development and grants.
  • Implementation and follow up the human resources strategy for researchers (HRS4R).
  • Implementation of measures related to human resources in accordance with national employment regulations (equality plan, LISMI, RGPD).
  • Analysis, description and evaluation of workplaces.
  • Implementation and follow up the staff performance appraisal and career plans.

Requirements:


  • Degree in Human Resources Management (Labour Relations, Business Administration,). Complementary training in conflict mediation, equality policies and HR management.
  • Command of written and oral English, Spanish and Catalan.
  • Experience in a Human Resources department with responsibilities similar to those required.

  • Analytical, solution and client oriented, with abilities to plan and organize work.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic personality, excellent negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to lead projects independently.

We offer:

  • A permanent fulltime employment contract hours/year).
  • Remuneration according to individual's qualification/experience.
  • Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments.
