    Patient Recruitment Lead - UK but will consider other locations in Europe. This role can be based in a remote office or an office located within Europe.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute comprehensive Patient Recruitment and Retention strategies aligned with sponsor requirements and study needs.
    • Manage large-scale global campaigns involving multiple tactics, ensuring dynamic campaign management based on enrollment metrics.
    • Lead and manage support staff, assigning day-to-day tasks and overseeing full-time equivalents.
    • Oversee vendors, guaranteeing quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables with minimal oversight.
    • Liaise with clients regarding patient recruitment and retention-related discussions, including contract deliverables, budget allocation, and performance metrics.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including study start-up, feasibility, regulatory, and others as needed.
    • Develop and coordinate patient recruitment strategies for assigned protocols, exercising oversight.
    • Analyze recruitment reports and projections, implementing adjustments to strategy and tactics as necessary to achieve contracted goals.
    • Oversee IRB/EC submissions, translations, material production, and distribution.
    • Provide feedback to management on maintaining effective recruitment activities for each project.
    • Deliver training sessions on campaign best practices to various audiences, including sponsors, sites, and internal team members.
    • Document lessons learned and develop case studies with clinical teams.
    • Create, review, and execute Vendor Statements of Work (SOW), submitting requisitions through ICON's purchasing system.
    • Ensure study materials are saved in the Patient Recruitment BOX, including presentations, tracking/metrics, and close-out reports/case studies.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring associate team members as needed.
    • Support Bid Defense meetings for ICON business development opportunities.
    • Maintain high-quality standards and strive for excellence, responding proactively and flexibly to both internal and external customer needs.
    • Travel approximately 20% domestically and/or internationally to support studies/projects and increase workload as required.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in life science, scientific discipline, medical field, communication, or business studies. A higher-level degree is preferred.
    • Minimum 3+ years CRO experience and 3 years patient recruitment or similar industry experience.
    • Background in medicine, science, or relevant discipline with substantial international experience in clinical drug development across various therapeutic areas.
    • Strong commercial awareness of current practices and trends in Recruitment Planning.
    • A valid driver's license is required for occasional travel.
