The Department of Operational Support (DOS) was established to provide end-to-end operational support, advisory services and other solutions to operating entities across the Secretariat, including departments, offices away from headquarters, peace operations, and regional commissions.


The Division of Healthcare Management and Occupational Safety and Health (DHMOSH) provides expert healthcare management and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) services to all UN Secretariat entities (Field missions, Offices Away from Headquarters and Economic Commissions), the New York based agencies funds and programs, as well as providing strategic leadership of whole-of-system medical issues through the UN Medical Directors Network.


This position is located in the Occupational Safety and Health section, Division of Healthcare Management and Occupational Safety and Health (DHMOSH).

The incumbent will report to the Information Systems Officer.


Responsibilities:


  • Develops and maintains training plans for the EarthMed suite users by analying all potential different roles and determining the training needs for each role.
  • Develops and maintains the EarthMed suite functional user guides by consultation with process, business, and technical owners.
  • Develops and maintains elearning programs for EarthMed users, by collaborating with Capacity Development and Operational Training Service (CDOTS) of the Department of Operational Support (DOS).
  • Plans and conducts regular webinars on new functionalities and updates for the EarthMed suite by coordinating with the business and technical teams.
  • Conducts webinars and onsite training during EarthMed implementation sessions of new health centers or as required by the business at HQ and in the field.
  • Act as the process owner for the clinical modules of the EarthMed suite, by defining workflows as well as data capture and reporting needs in conjunction with each Organizations business representatives.

Monitors ongoing developments inside and outside the clients' environment to keep informed and anticipate problems. Keeps clients informed of progress or setbacks in projects. Meets timeline for delivery of products or services to client.

Education
University degree (B.S. or equivalent) in nursing. National registration and license are required.

Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in nursing is required.

A minimum of two years of experience in the use of EarthMed is required.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in both English and French is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
