PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of International Sales Manager in Errentería, on a full-time contract, reporting to the International Sales Team Lead . Founded in 1904, Portwest has become one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,100 staff worldwide. With 1400 styles across more than 20 ranges, we design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities. We're on a mission to become the world's most requested PPE and Safety Wear Brand.
JOB SUMMARY:
You will join a growing International Sales Team, where you will research and develop customer accounts in established and new markets globally for Portwest, in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to work independently, managing a range of customers accounts, but also collaborate with other stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research new markets around the world for sales opportunities.
- Identify existing customers with high growth potential and create a roadmap for their further development.
- Utilize strategies to build quality business relationships with new and existing accounts.
- Conduct sales meetings to maintain and develop relationships with distributors and resellers, via telephone, email and video meeting platforms.
- Ensure effective after meeting follow-ups to close sales.
- Engage in consultative selling by identifying customers' needs and provide a Portwest solution to meet those needs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the clients receive the support needed.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Focus on selling new Portwest products by introducing them by email, calls and sending samples.
- Promote distributor promotions on our products with end users.
- Conduct ongoing development of market intelligence, including marketing events such as trade shows, seminars and exhibitions which is fed back to the business.
- Help maintain customer loyalty to Portwest.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years' experience in a commercial position.
- Experience liaising with customers in a commercial environment.
- International sales experience in a related industry is desirable.
- Proven communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Experience with Microsoft office or other similar suites.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs are desirable.
- Highly driven and self-motivated.
- Good organisational skills and a team player
- Decision making and problem-solving skills.
