Integrated Control Center (ICC) design Engineer

Purpose of the Job
To perform the activities assigned by the department leader in CTC/TMS and diagnosis solutions area. Following the engineering process from system requirements to system integration and validation.


To collaborate in the following areas at project level:

  • Elicitation of customer requirements and definition of CTC/TMS internal and external interfaces.
  • Generation of the configuration data for CTC and TMS systems
  • Perform Subsystem tests
  • Support integration, tests, and commissioning activities.

Organisation Structure
Reports to the ICC Department Head


Organisational Reporting
The job holder will report directly to the PrEM and System Engineer.


Network & Links
The job holder will liase and work with the technical experts of ALSTOM and suppliers.


Objectives
Configure, Integrate, validate and test around Iconis and/or EBI Screen solutions.

Be involved in the activities related to control centers, supervisory systems, tools development with adequate quality, schedule, and right cost.

It will include not only the generation of documentation of configuration, but also the integrations activities on-site.

Creation of documentation related to the project, especially requirements specification, interfaces description and user manuals.


Responsibilities
Realizes and justifies his technical work in accordance with the tasks appointed by the department head at project level. This means the integration activities for modules or subsystems and the Functional and validation tests during the commissioning phase.


By doing so, always must have in mind if the compliance with system requirements are aligned with Alstom standard platform policy.

Ensures the quality of his job to contribute to the quality of the system being delivered.


Accountabilities
Is accountable for providing the solution for ICC & TMS products following the Engineering Processes.


Educational Requirements
Technician formation, engineering university degree (computer science, telecommunication or similar)


Desired Knowledge / Experience
Experience required 3 years.

English language is mandatory.


Valuable knowledge areas:

  • SCADA products.
  • Operating systems multiplatform (Windows Server, Linux)
  • Standard and industrial protocols (OPC-UA, OPC-DA, MODBUS, SNMP, etc)
  • Networks Knowledge.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge.
  • PLCs and RTUs knowledge.
  • SQL and Database management.
  • C#, VBS and PowerShell will be appreciated.

  • Open mind for new concepts and technologies learning.
  • Ability to make decisions based on his knowledge.
  • Capability to establish good relationship with external people (customer or other units)

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of industrial communication standards and system integration procedures for supervisory systems.
  • Knowledge of Database and management.
  • Good Knowledge of the SCADA products.
  • Knowledge of Agile framework will be appreciated.

Sometimes travel will be required, especially during the starting phase of the projects and in the commissioning phase.
