    Job DescriptionAtradius, a global leader in credit insurance and risk management, is seeking an experienced Lead Power BI Engineer to spearhead our Data Platform team.

    As the Lead Power BI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving Atradius business intelligence initiatives forward, leading a team of talented BI developers, and architecting cutting-edge solutions to deliver actionable insights.


    Key responsibilities:

    • Lead an mentor a team of Power BI engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment to drive excellence in business intelligence solutions.
    • Architect end-to-end Power BI solutions, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
    • Design and optimize Power BI data models, reports, and dashboards to provide intuitive and actionable insights to business stakeholders.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and usability of Power BI solutions, implementing automation and optimization strategies.
    • Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance policies for Power BI development, ensuring data integrity, security and compliance.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance on Power BI architecture, integration with other systems, and emerging technologies, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI solutions with existing systems and data sources, maximizing value and efficiency.
    • Lead the Power BI enablement strategy at Atradius to ensure correct use and maximize the value of the tool in business processes

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of hand-on experience developing and implementing complex Power BI solutions applying market best practices.
    • Proven experience leading and mentoring BI teams, with a track of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
    • Extensive knowledge of Power BI architecture, and integration capabilities, with experience in embedded and shared reports.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL, data lakehouse concepts with experience in optimizing performance and scalability of Power BI solutions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering business value through Power BI solutions.
    • Fluent in spoken and written English

    Nice to have:

    • Power BI certifications.
    • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and familiarity with Azure services.
    • Knowledge of other BI tools such as Tableau, R-Shiny or Qlik.
