Descripción:Job Description Accountable for planning, managing and delivering Country level clinical trial activities of office and field based associates to assure the delivery of Phase I-IV Global Oncology and Pharma clinical trials within an assigned Development Unit. Responsible for formulation of Development Unit clinical trial strategy in collaboration with Trial Monitoring Country Head, Country CSO, Medical Director, and global stakeholders, (including Trial Operations Management (TOM) and Regional Operations Manager (ROM), and Global Clinical teams), to assure effective trial execution and completion with high quality. Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:Trial Monitoring strategy• Provides input to Trial Monitoring Development Unit strategy by collaborating with Trial Monitoring Country Head, Country CSO and Country Medical Directors to achieve Country objectives• Aligns Development Unit team objectives to Country Trial Monitoring and Country CSO/Medical • Ensures effective communication within Country Trial Monitoring and Country medical Development Unit stakeholders to align and agree on Country level evaluation of projects, project deliverables, resourcing, issue escalation and resolution Allocation, initiation and conduct of trials• Manages the Development Unit country feasibility strategy to ensure strategic allocation and execution of global development trials within the Country (Innovative Medicines Phase I-IV clinical trials)• Develops opportunities in collaboration with global and Country Development Unit stakeholders to build a competitive advantage for GDD trials within the Country by leveraging medical standard of care, local business drivers and site relationship management• Collaborates with Regional Operations Manager (ROM) and Trial Operations Management (TOM) to ensure Country participation in GDD trials is aligned with Country/Regional Development Unit strategies Delivery of quality data and compliance to quality standards• Ensures adherence to clinical data standards, prevailing legislation, GCP, Ethical Committee and SOP requirements as it relates Development Unit clinical trial activities• Manages Development Unit trial monitoring issue identification, escalation and resolution aligned with the Country Head and by partnering with Country medical, GLF’s and Development/Country QA, as applicable• Ensures adherence/compliance to SOPs and required training curricula per GDD and Country level targets• Contributes to continuous improvement in monitoring operations and fosters best practice sharing within and across Development Units, in the CountryManagement of people and resources management• Is responsible for hiring, developing and retaining talent, within the Development Unit• Provides Trial Monitoring office and field based resource requirements for Development Unit trial needs within the Country Monitoring structure in collaboration with Country Head and local Medical (as appropriate)Budget and productivity• Is responsible for the Country Development Unit clinical trial budgets (TCF management)• Ensures adoption of Trial Monitoring productivity initiatives within the Development Unit and fosters best practice sharing Minimum requirements What you’ll bring to the role: -Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences required; Advanced Degree in scientific or business preferred-Fluent English (oral and written)-At least 10 years’ experience in clinical research, in planning/executing and/or monitoring clinical trials with at least 5 years in a people management role-Excellent understanding of all aspects of clinical drug development with particular emphasis on trial execution and monitoring-Strong capability in working in a Global/Country matrixed environment You’ll receive: Company Pension Plan; Life and Accidental Insurance; Meals Allowance or Canteen in the office; Flexible working hours Why Novartis 927 million.
