WHAT YOU'LL DOWe are seeking a strong candidate to fill the role of the Practice Area (PA) Project Manager Global Practices Management Support (GPMS) team. The primary role of this position is to support the PAL Chair and Global Practice Area Chief of Staff with the execution of global Practice projects both as PMO operations manager and as project leader. A key focus will be on pushing the transformation agenda for the PA management, operations, and organization forward to make the Practices even stronger for the future.The responsibilities include the engagement for longer-term strategic and operational Practice projects (e.g., set up of an agile Practice organization and introduction of new ways of working for the PA management teams; fostering of new cross-PA collaboration go-to-market models; evolution of PA meetings model; implementation of cross-PA and firm-wide innovation projects on the PA side), an involvement in the oversight and management of the PA project portfolio, and collaboration with the Practice operations manager on selected initiatives and projects (e.g., development of PA shared services @ scale, and leadership group operations). The project manager acts in direct support and as a sparring partner for the PA Chief of Staff, as well as the IPA and FPA directors. Teaming with Digital BCG and helping drive the continued integration of DigitalBCG and the Practices is a key expectation for this role.We are seeking a strong, analytical self-starter who is keen to help advance the Practice agenda on a global level and who knows how to align diverse interests from over 20 stakeholder groups, being diplomatic and determined in handling multiple ambiguous situations at the same time. The candidate needs to have strong project management skills and a consulting mindset. A basic understanding of the agenda of the Practices and a sense for the development of the Practices’ business is a plus.
