This role is accountable for ensuring achievement in sales and profit and plays a critical role as a business partner to Marketing, Pharmacy Sales and Commercial Excellence teams.
The Finance Business Partner Junior will also be responsible for ensuring forecast and cost control of the warehouse & distribution, overheads and Advertising and Promotion (A&P) costs.
Key deliverables: Providing analytical support to Core Commercial Cycle, ensuring robust forecast is prepared by considering all internal and external factors impacting sales (consumption, stock in trade, distribution, investment levels, competition). Ongoing optimization of ROI on investment in A&P - drive decisions, make proposals on resources allocation. Providing analytical support and financial leadership to strategic and tactical activities such as: New Product Launches, pricing & promotional analysis, investment and divestment proposals and business evaluation. Streamlining and optimizing processes across Commercial and Finance to drive monitoring, compliance and opportunity identification. Providing support to Heads of Department on the forecast and control of overheads costs, including warehousing and distribution and A&P. Acting as a link between local Finance team and Centralized Finance Hub. Ensuring delivery of annual results, meeting savings requests and 3/1 plan
The main accountabilities of the FBP are: Partner with business to drive performance and the development of long-term strategy with brands / channels. Provide expert advice to Brand/Channel Teams by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks. Provide financial analysis using internal and external information providing necessary insights and clarity to support decisions. Educate and coach customer groups on financial aspects of business decisions and resource allocations. Ensure that financial risks in area of responsibility are effectively managed. Partner with line manager and lead cross functional business team in commercial management to deliver clear understanding of drivers and drainers of business performance enabling robust challenge of the monthly Core Commercial Cycle. Ensure robustness of financial information and deliver appropriate commentaries in internal business trackers and company scorecard. Ongoing evaluation of effectiveness of A&P investment (ROI). Be point of contact for business colleagues for financial issues by representing Finance and being an ambassador for the Finance function.
Required Skills: Finance acumen - Finance / business degree (qualified accountant preferred). High English level. At least 3 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Financial Planning, Accounting and Reporting, above-country financial management, portfolio management of a multinational company. FMCG experience is a plus. Extensive work experience in commercial organization as well as cross-functional teams and across a matrix organization. Strong communicator, influencer and ability to effectively use negotiation. Demonstrated success in financial management & control. High attention to details. Self-starter, positive attitude, inquisitive, and change oriented. Able to effectively manage time against agreed deadlines. Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP. Knowledge in GSK internal reporting tools (such as Bison, ICT) is a plus.
