About the role

We are seeking a

Project Manager for European Directive for Equal Pay and Pay Transparency (M/F/d) who will be responsible for project management activities - planning and execution, project coordination, support, tracking, reporting (scoping, progress and risk monitoring), and compliance assurance of deliverables (tollgates, sign-offs) to ensure effective and efficient management of the project.

The project aims to align the Novartis standards to the requirements of the EU Directive for Equal Pay and Pay Transparency and other global pay equity regulations.

The project will develop a data infrastructure and ongoing operating model to support the implementation, including local legal reporting requirements, data availability and requests from associates, joint pay assessments and remediation activities.

It will also develop central resources and toolkits to support P&O and business leaders with local country implementation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversees the end to end project execution from preparations to closure in collaboration with the work stream leads, country teams and vendors.
  • Manages project planning, tracking milestones and progress reporting, driving action items, risk monitoring and manages escalations thru the defined governance channels.
  • Plans resources to be involved in the project, onboards and provides guidance on the execution of the activities and delivery on time.
  • Coordinates/facilitates different project activities/events/workshops with different teams.
  • Facilitates regular meetings with different teams and consolidate progress reports.
  • Manages end to end project activities preparations, execution coordination and delivery in every phase of the project.
  • Ensures project compliance thru adherence to project methodology
- governance, documentations, sign-offs, tollgate reviews, change requests, lessons.

  • Support change communication activities.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:


  • Master degree in Management, HR, Social Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of applicable experience in Project Management and solid international experience in P&O and PO IT projects.
  • Excellent English spoken and written.
  • Solid proficiency in strategy build out and development.
  • Good knowledge of creating business cases, budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • Analytical and innovative, the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems and put theory into practice.
  • Strong negotiation, chaos management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in rewards is desirable and an advantage.
