Client Onboarding Manager


Corporate Title /Grade:

Reports to:
Regional Head of Client Onboarding

Outline of position

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Acting as the key client contact throughout the client onboarding process to ensure seamless transition from Sales to BAU;
  • Act as a first point of contact for client issues relating to onboarding matters;
  • Coordinating client adoptions, account openings, review of fund offering documentation and legal agreements, internal system set ups, and project planning;
  • Project management and coordination of internal functions to onboard new clients (launches and conversions) including Service Delivery, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams;
  • Assist in the initial drafting and review of client service agreements;
  • Interacting with the Legal Department on template management and control;
  • Managing the internal review process across different product and service lines within the fund administration, depository and other product lines;
  • Provide day to day client onboarding advice across all Apex Group business lines to best meet their business needs and maintaining good working relationships through active communication, facilitation and teamwork.
  • Support the wider onboarding team where required.
  • Will report to the Regional Head of Client onboarding.

Required Skills:


  • An individual with a legal qualification to degree level;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the investment funds industry;
  • A good knowledge of funds industry, experience of different fund structures, domiciles and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • Be comfortable/competent in dealing with fund structuring issues, legal terminology and fund services agreements;
  • Knowledge on Client KYC requirements is an advantage;
  • Be highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work semi-supervised supporting a fast-paced dynamic business;
  • Possess team spirit and enthusiasm with the capacity to build strong client relationships;
  • Client facing experience;
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and a truly client servicing mindset;
  • Professional level of English (spoken and written), every other language is an advantage.
We are looking for a client onboarding manager to work with a top tier financial services provider.

This is a tremendous opportunity for someone with a good knowledge of the funds industry looking to develop their skills further.

The position is very much client facing and will involve client meetings.

Additionally, the position will involve a high level of interaction with all functional areas within the Fund administration including Service Delivery teams, Compliance, Technology, Product Management & Sales.
