Business Planning Analyst

The role


To implement business initiatives within the Spanish HUB and seek opportunities to grow the financial contribution and reduce costs base in the Spanish HUB ensuring robust efficient, resilient and sustainable operations.

Reporting:
Business Planning, Control & Suppliers Manager Spanish Hub (Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar)


Duties

  • Support on Financial Plans, Business Plans and reforecast activities for the Spanish Hub (Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar) operations in coordination with finance and other internal areas.
  • Provide insightful variance analysis and causals on the P&L and Financial Plans.
  • Work closely with different business areas in the Spanish Hub to provide support to drive initiatives (cost reduction, revenues and new projects).
  • Assist Business Planning, Control & Suppliers Manager with procurement (IAG GBS) to drive initiatives: business cases, tenders and contracts renewal.
  • Support Third Party Handling Commercial Manager on other airlines (different from IAG Group) and forwarders invoicing process.

Essential capabilities

Skills:


  • Action orientated, drives pace, challenges appropriately to maintain momentum within tight timescales.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage complex and often unique issues creating relevant clarity in areas of ambiguity.
  • Numerical literacy and strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Microsoft Office packages. High level of Excel and user level for Access. VBA knowledge will be valued.

Qualifications:


  • At least 2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English and Spanish.

Experience:


  • Evidence of identification of areas of improvement and provision of creative solutions to benefit the internal customer.
  • Track record of delivering sustainable and significant change and reducing complexity.
  • Proven ability to deliver objectives on time and to budget through the use of planning tools.
  • Evidence of use of data to drive decisionmaking.
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively across functions, cultures and hierarchies.
This is a Temporary contract (Contrato de Sustitución)
