    We are looking for candidates to work in collaboration with the UK Network Team.

    The Network Team are at the core of the Bank's technology and play a critical role in the successful delivery of products and services to our customers.

    We are a highly motivated, skilled, and dedicated group of individuals who work together to deliver and support market-leading technology solutions

    These candidates will be joining an IT Network team located in Lisbon, Malaga, Madrid or Cantabria that works together with Santander UK.

    We are expecting team players who want to grow together not only technically but also knowing the business

    You can be dedicated or you may be asked to float between these two workstreams:

    Replace and upgrade Network Hardware across critical Layer 3 devices within our R4 Network

    28 x L3 Devices to replace and upgrade

    All supporting Nexus 7k, 9k

    Support Firewall Obsolescence Teams who are migrating and upgrading Physical Infrastructure and services to new target Infra

    Multiple Juniper/Checkpoint Migrations to new Hardware (Firewall migrations completed by a separate Team)

    Interface/VLAN provisioning

    Cutover support

    F5 experience as new services will be required to support migrations

    Excellent attention to detail in creating technical runbooks

    For both of them, take in consideration that:

    Monday – Friday 9-5

    Additional hours required to support changes

    Tasks

    Managing multiple integrated network topologies.

    Delivering both traditional and cloud native network architecture & solutions.

    Reporting on critical network compliance and availability.

    Ensuring processes and procedures are followed.

    Analysing data through troubleshooting and capacity planning

    Requirements

    Mandatory skills

    3 years of experience
    - CCNP or above in Routing & Switching. (OSPF, BGP, STP)

    Advanced experience support Nexus NXOS 7k, 9k Switches

    Proven experience troubleshooting F5 Big IP, Big IQ, LTM, GTM config, upgrades, v13 and above.

    Logical network diagnostic approach to faults and problems.

    Confident troubleshooting knowledge using TCP Dumps, PCAP files.

    Working knowledge of security network technologies including firewall, proxy, IPS, WAF, VPN- MS office documentation and organisational skills

    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

    Nice to have skills

    Understanding of Checkpoint + NSX Distributed Firewalls.

    Experience with Nokia QIP or Infoblox IPAM.

    Experience with IBM Netcool Monitoring & Compliance tooling.

    Dynatrace diagnostics

    Some Spanish Knowledge

    A large enterprise consisting of traditional and software defined WAN, Campus and Data Centre network infrastructure across Private and Public domains.

    A hybrid of network technology operating systems supporting high throughput workloads across the organisation and to our customers 24/7 365.

    As part of the role, you may be asked to participate in the 24/7 Technical On Call Rota as well as working out of hours to support changes.
