Job Description:

IDIADA offers you the opportunity to develop a career in one of the worldwide leading automotive engineering companies.

We are looking for new talents to join IDIADA's powertrain virtual development team located in our HQ office in Spain.

Main tasks will include:

Development of systemlevel 1D models for energy consumption simulations, focus on battery electric and fuel cell powertrain configurations.
Model integration in cloudbased MiL environment. Implement model updates, ensure model enrichment and seek for accuracy improvements.
Control development and software logic implementation in MATLAB/Simulink.
Data analysis of vehicle test results for model correlation. Recalibration and fine tuning of existing models to improve accuracy when needed.
Development of scripts and tools in MATLAB/Simulink and Python. Automation of data pre/post processing, simulation, and reporting tasks.
Analysis of market trends and regulatory framework affecting vehicle energy consumption and efficiency of passenger cars and heavyduty trucks for different type of powertrains (ICE, HEV, BEV, FCEV).
To prepare technical reports and visual presentations to summarize results, contribute to project review meetings in collaboration with other members of the simulation team.

Qualifications:

Profile:

1 to 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in the areas of powertrain or vehicle energy consumption simulation.
Required computer skills: Advanced level in MATLAB/Simulink, Python scripting for data analysis and automation. Knowledge of other simulation 1D software is an asset (i.e. GTsuite, Simcenter, Amesim).
Awareness of the regulatory framework and testing procedures applicable to heavyduty vehicles will be an asset.
Open, highly motivated personality with handson mentality, able to work autonomously as well as being part of a team in a hybrid style (office and remote).
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with intellectual curiosity and the drive to investigate technical facts indepth.
