The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality.

This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.


MADRID IT Platform

The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality.

This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.


MISSION:


CIB Software Asset Management has the mandate to conduct software compliance inventories within its scope of responsibility to ensure that software tools are used in accordance with the commitments made in the contracts signed with publishers.


Objective of SAM is twofold:

reduce the risk of software-related legal issues, and optimize the use of software assets to ensure the maximum value from the investment in software for BNPP Group.

Our CIB SAM Department is an anglophone and multicultural environment where we coordinate and manage software compliance for several entities (CIB, BP2S, or Switzerland) which represents more than 56 countries, with regional SAM Relays located on different Hubs/Regions (APAC, AMER, FR UK, EMEA, etc).


RESPONSIBILITIES:


The principal mission of the Software Asset Manager is to draw up software compliance within her/his scope of responsibility, in order to ensure that the software tools are used in accordance with the commitments made in the contracts signed with the publishers.


Main tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Software Inventory
  • Defining, communicating and preparing inventory guides, to work with Data collection teams
  • Mastering the contractual bases and metrics of publishers within his/her scope
  • Supporting operational teams on the issue of licensing rules and the expected data format
  • Coordinating feedback to ensuring compliance with milestones
  • Producing compliance reports and monitoring compliance plans
  • Producing compliance reports and sharing them with appropriate contacts
  • Analysing the financial and contractual impact of any noncompliant features
  • Asking for compliance plan and monitoring their implementation
  • Formalising and escalating alerts to management
  • Supporting Purchasing during contract negotiations
  • Assisting purchasing in any software activity for contracts within its scope
  • Providing recommendations for purchasing licenses
  • In support of purchasing, contributing to the development of software contracts on the definition of metrics and licensing clauses
  • Monitoring operational teams
  • Supporting operational teams in the implementation and use of software to optimise usage costs in accordance with contracts
  • Participating in projects to anticipate possible software impacts
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of the Software Asset Management process
  • Contributing to improving the quality of inventory data
  • Discussing best practices with peers
  • Proposing changes for better control of risks, expenses and compliance

REQUIREMENTS:


Training:


  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
  • ITIL Foundation certificate will be desirable
  • CSAM certification will be valued
