It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads largescale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 800 staff from 55 countries.

Context And Mission
Reporting to BSC's Technology Transfer Manager, the TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER junior officer on IPR will support activities mainly focused on keeping BSC's IPR portfolio registers and BSC spinoff portfolio updated. In addition to IPR management tasks, identifying, registering, protecting and facilitating the exploitation of BSC's research results.
Key Duties
Intellectual Property Rights management for AINA project
Define the IPR strategy for AINA project results
Register of AINA project results
Maintain updated AINA portfolio of technologies
Provide help on protecting BSC research project results in the most appropriate way

a. Provide help on Identifying BSC research results
b. Provide help on registering BSC research results via Intellectual Property Disclosure Form
c. Provide help on protecting BSC research results in the most appropriate way

Provide help on maintaining updated BSC portfolio of technologies

Requirements:

Education
Business or Law degree preferred (applicants with a science or engineering degree will also be considered)
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Knowledge on innovation, IPR management or similar a plus
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Computer and Computational Sciences
Startups creation
Fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan essential
Competences
Good written and verbal communication skills

Conditions

The position will be located at BSC within the Director's Department
We offer a fulltime contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with stateoftheart infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
Duration: Openended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
