AI Engineering sits within Research D&A, R&D IT. It is the team underpinning the delivery of the ORD AI Strategy 2024 as endorsed by ORD LT.

This multi-million-dollar investment serves to provide immense value through utilization of AI across the entire R&D value chain, brining deeper insights, automation, and scale to the portfolio.

To deliver this transformational project, the team is growing in size, both onshore and offshore.

As well as this, it will need to continue to act as part of #OneIT to utilize and support solutions from central IT and other teams in R&D IT.

AI Engineering is looking for a Product Lead to report to the AI Engineering Lead.

The role will be pivotal in delivery of the ORD AI Strategy, and particularly focus on building out teams to support Generative AI demands, strategize as to a long term plan for this technology, and work with other Product Leads, Engineering Leads, Business Relationship Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, and R&D Stakeholders to jointly own the mission, vision, roadmaps, requirements, user needs, and communications strategies for the strategy.

Requirements:

Comfortable with high complexity and willing to learn fast about new concepts
Able to think strategically about value to the business and create valuedriven objectives for teams
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives
Must have exceptional stakeholder management skills with demonstrable experience
Demonstrates the ability to think outside the box and innovate
Must have demonstrable experience of performing highly in incredibly novel and undefined situations
Must be technically able and comprehensive in the technical workings and underlying algorithms of sophisticated AI models (ie. GPT)
Good understanding of infrastructure, compute, regulatory requirements necessary for the delivery of AI tools and projects
Be able to manage budgets and forecast skills requirements to deliver large scale complex projects
Must excel at working in a matrixed environment
Experience in building new products from the ground up

Continual interaction and management of senior technical stakeholders
Collaborating with teams across IT and R&D to maximize available resource and skillsets across the company and in different teams to deliver the ORD AI strategy
Ability to build comprehensive roadmaps linked to deliverables and value
Building a comms strategy for a strategic roll out
Collaborate to produce, verify, and gain buy in for a strategy for generative AI

Example 6 month goals
Drive delivery of ORD AI strategy across AI Engineering and other matrixed teams Draft of R&D-wide Generative AI strategy complete with stakeholder buy in Corresponding roadmaps, deliverables, reporting and comms in line with strategy built Teams working to build platforms for service of insights teams and deliver value in line with defined
mission Clear, multi-year plan to fund the AI strategy in place, taking into account varying funding cycles, company guidance on location and travel, other groups in R&D and IT, stakeholders, and political landscape
