Position Purpose:


We are looking for a dynamic and proactive person to cover a Manager Labor Relations vacancy at our headquarters in Arganda del Rey.

This role will report to our HR Director and will act, under direction, as a strategic consultative business partner for assigned area of the organization.

This role will also be responsible for assessing Team Member/Manager/Supervisor needs in union and non-union environment, will develop and deliver training programs for all and provide specific corporate sponsored training programs, as required.


Key Job Activities:


  • Identify plans and administer training workshops that are driven by strategic performance needs of the organization.
  • Provide support to the organization in collective bargaining activities and grievances.
  • Develop and facilitate training/seminars around various human resource issues usually pertaining to important management issues such as team member counselling, union avoidance, etc.
  • Manage the labor relations and contract administration responsibilities in the field including facilitating a partnership with the union bargaining committee, sitting at the table for labor contract negotiations, and administering 2nd and 3rd step grievances (union facilities).
  • Establish and provide training, as needed, to ensure local management understanding of internal Human Resources policies, procedures and programs, and related external factors.
  • Research, pilot, and implement costeffective development solutions as customers need change.
  • Assist the HR Director with the definition, planning and implementation of HR Programs ensuring consistency, compliance and efficiency.
  • Assist managers and employees in resolving employee relations issues; investigate and guide to wise decisions, prepare/help prepare corrective actions, facilitate involuntary terminations.
  • Monitor employee relations throughout assigned area for development or in analysing actual trends, issues and problems, and assists local management with addressing issues. Develops and monitors programs to promote positive employee relations.
  • Support communications of HR and business initiatives including benefit plans and plan changes, legal requirements, and compensation, as appropriate. Assist in facilitating the implementation of related company initiatives.
  • Assist in field talent management initiatives, including employee reviews and performance based compensation adjustments. Advises and coaches employees and managers on development of performance related issues.
  • Coordinate changes/implementation of project outcomes based on mutual agreement with HR management team and business objectives.

Experience (EMEAA):


  • Degree in Law or Labor Relations.
  • 10+ years of Experience in relevant field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Sound knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels.
