  • Lockheed Martin Espana (LME) is a dynamic, growing, and energetic organization offering stimulating, challenging work at the forefront of technology.   • This role will support the test team for the newest Armada ship class, the F110. This position will be responsible for ensuring the availability and operation of the Aegis Display System (ADS)through the set to work test program and sea trials. This position will be principally located at the Navantia shipyard facilities in Ferrol, Spain. Occasional travel and shipboard riding underway should be considered part of the position requirements.
  • The principal responsibilities of this position are to ensure the availability and operation of the ADS equipment suites including the configuration and computer program operation and that the system interfaces with other ACS elements.
  • Manage ADS equipment suites, including setup of configurations, equipment interfaces, and data extraction requirements.
  • Identify and resolve ADS equipment and computer program issues
  • Conduct testing, analyze test results, and report findings, as necessary for functional testing involving ADS.
  • Perform data collection and analysis for problem isolation and resolution and ensure discrepancies are documented and statused using the FMS TOR and TFR processes.
  • Document test procedure discrepancies using the FMS TCP/TPR process for future test procedure revision.
  • Provide ADS status reports to the ACS Engineering Lead as directed.
  • Coordinate with alliance personnel and Combat System Alignment Engineers to prepare for and conduct Combat System Tracking Test events.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Hold an engineering or technical degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must be able to work in a shipyard environment with US and foreign government agencies and other US and foreign contractors with minimum supervision.
  • Must have experience in the preparation and delivery of effective oral presentations to management and customer personnel.
  • Prior Armada experience preferred
