    What We Are Looking for

    We are looking for a full-time postdoctoral researcher to join our young, dynamic BrainChild Lab led by Prof. Mònica Guxens ).

    The candidate will work on the potential health effects of RF-EMF on children's neuropsychological development as part of GOLIAT (5G exposure, causal effects, and risk perception through citizen engagement) funded by Horizon Europe (grant agreement The candidate will apply state-of-the-art causal inference methods (e.g., negative control outcomes, instrumental variables, propensity score matching, marginal structural models) using data from several European and Asian cohort studies.

    The candidate will have the opportunity to do a research stay of 6 months to Harvard School of Public Health in a second year of contract.

    The work will also involve coordination of the data collection and data cleaning of all the cohorts involved in the project.

    Training and experience /Qualifications

    Doctorate in Health/Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Environmental Epidemiology, Statistics or related subject.
    Previous experience in child health/cohort research

    Specific Duties

    Coordinating data collection, exposure assessment, and data cleaning
    Conducting analysis and drafting original articles for publication in high quality journals
    Disseminating findings at conferences, workshops, and through the study website
    Collaboration with the study teams and external specialists
    Supervision of master and PhD students

    Skills

    PhD in epidemiology, public health, or related discipline
    Previous experience in the research topic is an advantage
    Experience in processing and managing of complex and large datasets, as well as in statistical packages, preferably R and STATA
    Motivated researcher capable of setting and meeting deadlines and delivering research outputs to the required standard
    Strong organization and team-working skills
    Professional attitude with attention to details
    Effective verbal and written communication skills
    Proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
    Team player, yet capable of working autonomously, rational and critical thinker

    Language level

    Catalan, Spanish, and English written and spoken.

    Conditions

    Duration: 1 year (extendable)

    Salary Range: 31,000-37,000€
