Your mission:
We are in search of a highly skilled systems engineer with a passion for system management and maintenance in a challenging and diverse environment.
As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and timely optimisations of various critical systems, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation.
Your proficiency with tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, AWS, Cloudflare, and other vital technologies is crucial in safeguarding the performance and security of our platforms and products.
Responsibilities:
- **SSL certificate **management.
-
Cloudflare setup and optimisation, using workers for enhanced performance and security.
-
AWS service and resource management, including
Lambda functions,
CloudFront behaviours, CloudWatch, S3, static hosting, AIM, and EC2.
- Upkeep of systems and servers, both
Windows and Linuxbased, within the
AWS infrastructure. - Management of tools and platforms including
Foresadmin, Metabase, Google Analytics, Cyfe, Instapage, Webflow, and Cube. - Maintenance and administration of relational (e.g.,
MSSql and PostgreSQL) and nonrelational databases like
MongoDB.
Microservices management, addressing
documentation, security, and performance concerns.
- System integration with thirdparty services such as
Adjen, Sendgrid, Facebook, Uptime Robot, and Slack. - Uptime alert and monitoring setup with
Uptime Robot and SNS, including Slack integration for realtime notifications. - Collaborate with teams to implement
best practices in data handling and processes. - Infrastructure
updates and optimisation.
Problem-solving and mitigation of security or performance incidents.
Your profile:
Requirements:
- Strong background in systems administration, especially in AWS,
Linux, and Windows. - Experience in version control tools like
GitHub and Bitbucket. - Familiarity with
SSL certificate configuration, especially using LetsEncrypt. - Experience in
Cloudflare service setup and optimisation. - Mastery in AWS services management, including
Lambda,
CloudFront,
CloudWatch, S3, and EC2. - Proficiency in handling databases such as
MSSql, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. - Ability to work with
microservices and address documentation and performance challenges. - Familiarity with analytics and metric tools like
Metabase, Google Analytics, and Cyfe. - Knowledge of programming languages such as
.Net, NextJs, WCF, Python, and Angular1. - Experience in integrating with thirdparty services like
Adjen, Sendgrid, Mailjet, Stripe, and Uptime Robot. - Previous exposure to Mobile store management (or willingness to learn) like Apple store and Google play store and Mobile app development.
- Effective technical
problemsolving skills. - Adaptability in working with both
legacy and new systems. - Eagerness to learn new technologies.
