We have our current data architecture deployed in AWS.

Mainly we use Postgres as our current data warehousing solution (actively researching scalable data warehousing solution), dbt for ELT operations and Airflow as well as Python for orchestration and automation.

Our backend is written in Ruby on Rails, which just works great for scaling startups such as ourselves, but in this job, you wouldn't have to write any Ruby.

THE JOB
We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our DataOps team. This is a cross-functional platform team which provides a cloud-based infrastructure to other teams, including our data infrastructure. Your focus would be on building out our data warehouse and data pipelines. You would work alongside our AWS cloud experts.

Some of the challenges you will face

• Refine existing data architecture by building and deploying scalable data pipelines together with data engineers, analysts and the DataOps team
• Collaborate with BI and data analysts as a sparring partner in reporting data model development
• Automate various processes for speedy and confident delivery
• Develop CI/CD workflows for frictionless delivery of data platform services
• Share best practices for building and maintaining our data platform
• Participate in hiring the new generation of engineering for the data team

THE REQUIREMENTS
These aren't all hard requirements, if you're motivated and capable of doing the job described above, talk to us

• Proficient in coding in at least one language, preferably Python or Scala
• Experience building and/or maintaining Analytics data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, Postgres, etc.)
• Commercial experience in using cloud platform (preferred AWS)
• Knowledge of CI systems and deployment technologies like Terraform, GitHub Actions, etc
