Mission


The mission of this role is to lead the development and maintenance of technical specifications for various control systems in accordance with EDPR's requirements and standards.

He will evaluate potential vendors, products, and integrators to ensure that they meet EDPR's technical and business requirements and develop homologation processes to ensure that products and vendors are approved for use in EDPR's projects.

He will support the development of procurement documents, including RFPs and RFIs, and lead the coordination with other departments to ensure compliance with project needs.

In addition, they will collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that the control systems are designed, planned, and implemented to meet the overall technical requirements of the project.

He will also be responsible for driving innovation and continuous improvement in control system design and implementation.

He will stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and use their expertise to develop new approaches and solutions that help EDPR achieve its mission of providing clean, reliable energy to customers.

The work center can be in Madrid, Oviedo or Oporto.


Main Accountabilities

  • Development of control systems (SCADA, PPC, BESS, Trackers, inverters, etc) technical specifications aligned with EDPR requirements:
  • Research and evaluate new and emerging control system technologies
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure technical feasibility of the specifications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Maintain and update control system specifications as needed
  • Communicate control system specifications to relevant stakeholders, processing new requirements and lesson learned from relevant projects
  • Review and approve control system specifications developed by other team members
  • Provide technical support to other departments as needed
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in control system design and implementation
  • Homologations and processes definition: evaluate potential vendors, products and integrator to ensure that they meet EDPR's technical and business requirements
