    Job Description

  • Building HR Function:
  • Develop and establish the HR function from inception, crafting policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Organizational Structure:
  • Design and construct the entire HR organizational structure, considering the matrix framework, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand their needs and align HR services accordingly.
  • Global Oversight:
  • Provide leadership and supervision across multiple countries, currently overseeing 8 nations with the expectation of expansion.
  • Develop and implement HR policies that comply with diverse international regulations and standards.
  • Strategic Partnership:
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to align HR strategies with the overall business goals.
  • Act as a strategic partner in decision-making processes, offering insights on talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • New Position Development:
  • Assume a pivotal role in the creation and development of the Global HR Director position, ensuring its integration into the evolving organizational structure.
  • Lead change management initiatives associated with HR processes and structures. The Successful Applicant
  • International Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in a global HR role, overseeing operations in multiple countries.
  • Proficient understanding of international labor laws and cultural nuances.
  • Seniority and Operational Expertise:
  • Proven track record of seniority in HR leadership roles with a hands-on, operational approach.
  • Ability to analyze, propose, and implement HR processes and structures in a greenfield environment.
  • Language Proficiency:
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal. Additional language skills are advantageous.
  • Location and Travel:
  • Based in the Barcelona area, the role requires occasional international travel.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a growing global organization.
  • Pharmaceutical Sector Knowledge:
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of HR in a pharmaceutical context.
  • Reporting and Relationship Building:
  • Directly report to the CEO, providing regular updates and strategic HR insights.
