    How to contribute to our vision

    Manage the Office & Factory Supplies (OFS) Category for the SE&A Region, as well as key Global projects for all OFS Commodities: Factory consumables, Tools, Personal Protection Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Packaging, Chemicals and Office supplies.

    In this position, you will be part of a team that provides Indirect Material and Service Support to the Siemens Gamesa Business Units. This position will report to the Global Category Manager. The Ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, must be a self-starter and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment as well as operate independently.

    In this role you will:

  • Define, communicate, and implement a regional commodity structure & sourcing strategy
  • Identify and manage procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/exploit potential opportunities through tailored actions
  • Lead regional tendering, contracting, and supplier activities, such as supplier selection, qualification, and development
  • Analyze and coordinate efforts to implement strategic initiatives / programs to drive savings, supply base optimization, cash flow improvement & e-Auctions
  • Coordinate and manage a virtual cross-functional team to achieve optimum conditions and savings
  • Generate, document and implement savings, e.g. CNI; plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
  • Cooperate closely with internal customers (requesters) to ensure customer care and early involvement
  • Negotiate frame contracts and define core supplier and service assortment

  • A successful university degree in a technical and/or commercial area
  • Approximately 4 years of relevant working experience in Procurement with successful demonstration of key responsibilities & knowledge.
  • Comprehensive experience in commodities such as Factory Supplies
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal business and external collaboration partners/suppliers at senior management level
  • Strong analytical and planning skills; results driven personality; excellent and experienced negotiation skills in procurement
  • Project Management Skills: must have the ability to self-manage workload, manage multiple projects in parallel, set target dates, meet deadlines, follow processes, deploy a commodity roadmap of projects and implement projects to achieve optimum results.
  • Proficiency in English (C1) both orally and in writing
  • Flexibility to travel approximately once or twice a month if needed (post pandemic)
