    A Project Manager at Destinus is responsible for the management, planning and control of project(s), in support of the Technical Lead. The main objective is to coordinate engineering activities and deliverables according to a schedule and budget. To assess the associated engineering risks and opportunities management. As well as to present the project to relevant stakeholders and authorities (if applicable). In certain projects, the Project Manager may also assume the role of the Technical Manager.

    Tasks

    • Support the Technical Lead of the project(s), in terms of overall management, planning, control, and coordination of multi-disciplinary engineering activities, supporting necessary design and/or technical reviews.
    • Facilitate the communication flow across all the design areas, to harmonize the job across tasks ensuring the respect of the schedule and the budget.
    • Supervise the timely execution of the established plan, communicating any deviations and supporting the identification/implementation of possible recovery actions.
    • Presentation when required of the project to potential Investors/Customers/Authorities;and
    • Keep updated Project Management tools (planning, etc.)
    • Participate in the selection of and discussion with suppliers.
    • Perform follow-up of supplier deliverables.
    • Prepare RFQ for suppliers; and submit acceptance of payments for procurement.
    • Communicate input elements and work methodology to the project team. Plan the HR program, assignments, and project stages.
    • Evaluate, negotiate, implement, and communicate project scope modifications to the project team together with the Technical Lead.
    • Identify the critical path of the technical planning and ensure the correct prioritization of activities; and
    • Transmission of training needs and methodologies to the corresponding Chapter Manager.
    • Verify that the input elements are correct, and complete and on time.
    • Oversee execution and planning of schedule and quality.
    • Gather and consolidate the necessary budget to execute the technical activities.
    • Assess engineering risks and opportunities management.
    • Prepare Project Status Reports together with the Technical Lead; and
    • Report to the Chapter Leader regarding the management of the resources allocated to the project.
    • Constant communication with the related VP about project performance, during and after the realization of the different main project phases to resolve incidents and clarifications in a timely manner.

    Requirements

    • University degree in engineering or other related science.
    • Advanced knowledge of Office software.
    • Knowledge of team management and time management.
    • Spanish speaking is a must. Fluent in English as a working language.
    • A project management qualification (PMI, etc.) to enhance project planning and execution.
    • Proficiency in public speaking to represent the company at events and conferences.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
    • Proven ability to manage work teams efficiently, fostering collaboration and productivity.
