The Role

Veeva OpenData supports the industry by providing real-time reference data across the complete healthcare ecosystem to support commercial sales execution, compliance, and business analytics.

We drive value to our customers through constant innovation, using cloud-based solutions and state-of-the-art technologies to deliver product excellence and customer success.

The OpenData Global Data Tools team delivers the tools and data processing pipelines used to build the global data core for life sciences in 100+ countries.

What You'll Do

Design, provision, and manage cloud computer clusters and storage solutions using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code over AWS resources
Manage the CI/CD tooling and the integration with other company resources in the cloud
Manage containers, repositories, and container orchestrators in AWS
Define data processing pipelines deployment and execution through source code and CI/CD (Pipelines as Code)
Maintain source, container, and artifact repositories
Being the DevOps evangelist

Requirements:

3+ years experience as a DevOps engineer for a data processing platform
Proficient in "Pipeline as Code" definitions in a DevOps platform such as GitLab or Git Hub
Experience modeling system infrastructure in the cloud with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Terraform
Previous experience delivering containerized deployable platform resources over Kubernetes in AWS
Previous cloud experience provisioning and patching EC2 instances and managing network connectivity for groups of resources in AWS
Shell and python script development skills

Nice to Have

Experience managing GitLab pipelines and runners
Handson experience with one or more configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Experience using DevOps tools to deploy and administer clusters in a managed Apache Spark platform in the cloud (e.g., Databricks, AWS EMR)
