Apprentice Service Technician

Job Summary

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supports qualified Service Technician to install, maintain and repair Survitec safety equipment to standard. This includes learning to deliver discrete steps within the core servicing process under own supervision, as well as working alongside qualified technicians to learn and practice more complex steps under full supervision
  • Supports the Service Operations team to implement controlled changes to process to deliver continuous improvement
  • Helpsspecialists set up and test new products or processes; installs complex systems according to training and competence level, seeking guidance and support where needed
  • Carries out preventive maintenance inspectionsunder supervision, developing the skills to identify and diagnoserequirement for equipment and systems emergency repairs
  • Developsknowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards, completing personal development path towards becoming competent incore Survitec product categories
  • Follows Survitec Health, Safety and Environmentpolicies, procedures and mandatory instructions; identifiesand raises risksto safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of self and others
  • Developsown capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; works towards competence in multiple product lines, to become part of a flexible service operations workforce
  • Developsand maintainsan understanding of relevant technology, external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing personal development
  • Follows stores requisition processes to maintain accurate stock levels and records

Experience and qualification
Educated toHigh School level, with 4 GCSEs or equivalent

No prior experience is required for this role, although 1 -3 years of experienced in a related industry could enable faster learning

No formal management experience required for this role
