Job Description

As a Finance Trainee, you will play a vital role in helping Six Senses Ibiza achieve its vision of reconnecting people with themselves, others, and the world around them.

Operational Ownership

You will work closely with our finance team to gain hands-on experience in financial operations within the hotel industry. This role provides practical training and exposure to various financial functions, including:

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process invoices, verify documentation, and ensure timely payments.
- Support the collection process by following up on outstanding receivables.
Financial Reporting
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances.
Audit Support
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Participate in audit activities to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Financial Analysis
- Assist in conducting financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Provide insights into cost control measures and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Compliance
- Stay informed about financial regulations and compliance requirements in the hospitality industry.
- Assist in ensuring that financial processes adhere to relevant laws and Six Senses Ibiza standards and procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information and support their financial needs.
Training and Development
- Participate in training sessions to enhance financial knowledge and skills.
- Take the initiative to learn about industry-specific financial practices.

Program Details

This program has a minimum duration of 5 months. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our leaders in a non-hierarchical organization.

Requirements

To execute this position, you are studying a degree or have a diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

The required skills include:

A strong aptitude for numbers, with the ability to analyze financial data and draw meaningful insights.
Attention to detail, accuracy in handling financial records, reports, and transactions.
The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Technical knowledge of financial software, Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, etc.), and accounting systems.

Experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles adds value for understanding the financial needs of the hospitality industry. An understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, and basic financial regulations is a plus.

You must have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish.

You will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities, and services.
