Other key responsibilities include:
- Act as liaison, problem solver, and facilitator
- Manage the communication of progress to the management team as well as core internal stakeholders and escalating issues as necessary
- Develop project documentation and reporting for the management team and other key stakeholders to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices
- Setting up gate documents, project timing and budget with help of existing Project Management standards, methods and tools
- Anticipating and managing risks and when necessary escalating and identifying solutions to mitigate them
- Regular reporting of project status to management team providing a comprehensive transparent view of all projects
- Contribute to continued improvement in the PMO with respect to standard practices, team skill development and enhanced quality of project deliveries
- Conduct Project review practices to reflect and assess stickiness to the original business case, project timelines and budget.
Requirements:
Other qualifications include:
- Bachelor or Master's degree (preferably in computer science and/or engineering) or equivalent
- At least 7 years proven working experience in leading cross functional projects, preferably in an international environment and in the mobile/web technology sector
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or handson experience in software development and web technologies
- Experience working with Telcos or in a SaaS company managing virtual teams is a plus
- Working knowledge of agile methodology
- Excellent clientfacing and internal written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of both business as well as technology stakeholder requirements
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
- Working knowledge of issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA) is a plus
- Preferably PMI certificate or equivalent certification
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Other advantageous languages (Spanish and Arabic)
