An opportunity within the
Procurement organization inside
Airbus Defence and Space , you will join the
"Transport & Logistics Spain" (T&L ) **department and from there lead the transformation of the Transport activity in Spain and be part of putting in place the Airbus Defence & Space future Transportation model/organization.


Being a key actor on the overall transport operations, the jobholder is responsible for the performance and reliability of the "Lead Transport Provider" (LTP) in Spain.


By delegation of the H/O Transport Operations, the jobholder has operational authority on all Transport services for Airbus Defence and Space.

You will report to the HO Transport in Spain, located in Seville.

  • Ensure On Time, On Quality and On Cost of the operations in transport services.
  • Ensure environmental targets.
  • Export Control knowledge and traceability.
  • Guarantee the efficiency and the reliability of the transport networks.
  • To cope with the constraint of the supply chain (just in time, flexibility, reactivity, cost effectiveness), the constraint of the Logistic organization (opening hours, work quality, technical problems, accessibility and booking system).
  • Implementing tangible solutions for T1PTE organization and structure to manage the operations, deployment roadmaps (and support the implementation).
  • Contribute to the definition of new or improved transport strategies, for all programs. Looking for synergies between other divisions and/or other Business Units.
  • Manage the deployment and improvements of T1PT activities such as the extension & reshaping of the Transportation network, or the implementation / renewal of the LTP, Transport 2025 strategy.
  • Implementation of improvements projects: looking for the most efficiency in COST, CO2 EMISSIONS, and LEADTIME.
He/She supports actively the Transport & Logistics Operations organization.


He/She anticipates / prepares the evolution of the operations to cope with Airbus business strategy and industrial set-up (make to buy, ramp-up, new risk sharing partnerships, new aircraft program, change in manufacturing footprint ).


He/She is accountable for LTP compliance to regulatory, Environmental, Health, Safety and Ethics obligations and fully empowered to represent the Airbus Transport organization locally.


Main activities:

Being locally based and in contact with LTP and internal customers.


Transport Core Activities:


  • Supervising LTP transport operations
  • Asses and validate 4PL / 3PL KPIs dashboard
  • Export Control knowledge and management
  • Be the focal point for LTP and Logistics, share info with other Transport managers
  • Actively contribute to operational issues solving
  • Manage communication during routine and crisis situations

Contract management:


  • Scope change request
  • Claims / Complaints management
  • Budget management: by delegation of the H/O Transport operations, the jobholder is fully accountable for the corresponding budget and cost targets achievement
  • Contractual requirements adherence

Financial requirements:


  • Budget accomplishment

Supplier monitoring:


  • Performance measurement, followup and review of strategic carriers (3PLs) performance
  • Root cause analysis & eradication
  • Risk Management
  • Selection of carriers (with Procurement & LTP)

Continuous improvement:


  • Integration of existing activities into common and standardized solutions
  • Achieve synergies
  • Drive and support continuous improvement of operations
  • Promote Lean concept
  • Deploy new processes, methods and tools

The jobholder will deliver:


  • SLA's and KPIs with all stakeholders
  • Financial forecast & objectives for LTP regional activities
  • Risk management plan with recovery plan and escalation
  • LTP contribution to internal projects
  • Customer satisfaction monitoring and action plan implementation
  • Transport services on Time / Cost / Quality based on customers' needs
The jobholder will ensure follow-up until finalization of the claims / complaints.


Transport Operations being at the beginning (transport from suppliers) and at the end (transport to customers / FALs), a reliable and performant transport service contributes to the overall manufacturing performance.

The position will require military Confidential Defence accreditation.


The position may require travelling, mainly between the principal sites (domestic travels) but also occasionally to other core Airbus countries.


SKILLS

  • Engineering or Economics degree or a related discipline.
