WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Jr Business Analyst - Digital Solutions (Openbank) (1-year apprentice contract)

Mission and responsibilities:


As a Business Analyst, your main responsibility is to support Openbank in improving its business processes and products by identifying areas of inefficiency or opportunities for improvement.

You will work with a range of stakeholders, including business users, developers, and management, to gather and analyse requirements, and recommend solutions that align with Openbank's goals and objectives.

The main tasks of this position will be the following:

  • Collect and analyse business requirements including current and future condition analysis, data analysis and process mapping.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve existing operational processes and systems.
  • Develop and document functional specs and usage cases to guide development efforts.
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance activities including definition of test cases and scenarios, execution of tests and reporting and followup of defects.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders and management, including business cases, requirements documents and status updates.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams throughout the development cycle, including reviewing and approving deliverables.
  • Assist with change management activities, including change impact analysis, stakeholder engagement and training development and delivery.
  • Participate in project planning activities including estimation and prediction of effort and duration, identification of risks and dependencies, and development of project schedules.

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Bachelor ́s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Master's Degree will be a plus.
  • Prior experience with requirements collection and documentation. This involves interviewing stakeholders, conducting workshops, and using techniques such as prototyping and developing use cases.
  • Strong understanding of the software development cycle and the different stages of software development.
  • Experience working on projects and knowledge of project management methods such as Agile.
  • Understand the financial sector, including regulations, products and services offered by banks.
  • Knowledge of WordPress / WooCommerce / Magento, Excel, Google Analytics, Jira, Confluence and HTML Language.
  • English C1 level or superior will be mandatory.
  • German is a plus.
