ROLE SUMMARY:

    Teacher of English
  • IB/A level and GCSE experience favourable **to join our teaching team on a temporary basis in September We are looking for enthusiastic and committed teachers who would like to join our school located in the beautiful city of Madrid.   • Located on the outskirts of Madrid, King's College, Soto de Viñuelas is a vibrant, dynamic, and forwardthinking school which embraces diversity and is committed to ensuring success for all our pupils.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with the UK National Curriculum and local requirements.
  • To plan, feedback and teach in line with school and departmental procedures.
  • To plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with school policies.
  • To maintain a working knowledge of National Curriculum & other documents.
  • To maintain records of pupils' progress including all statutory documents required by the UK DFE.
  • To produce reports and grades for pupils as per the school calendar.
  • To conduct termly interviews with parents to discuss and explain their child's performance and progress in school.
  • To provide and maintain an attractive and stimulating environment in which to foster effective teaching and learning.
  • To monitor progress and the effectiveness of class work and to evaluate and modify planning and teaching as necessary.
  • To differentiate accordingly according to the students' needs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


  • A dynamic and proactive teacher, preferably with independent sector or international experience
  • Strong team player willing to support other colleagues
  • Excellent working knowledge of the English National Curriculum, the IB Diploma and recent developments
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Pastoral responsibility or experience would be an advantage
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
  • Knowledge of Spanish, or willingness to learn Spanish would be an advantage
  • Achieved Qualified Teacher status (Applications from NQTs also welcome)
  • Experience in A Level/IB
  • Experience in teaching and the ability to motivate a diverse student body
  • Strong IT skills
