Your Team:

Avanan is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to contribute to our growing team and business.

Your main objectives are straightforward — reach out to promising incoming leads, cold calling to new potential partners, discover pains and needs of the partner, partners prospects and customers, introduce the Avanan solution, and convert them into loyal partners and customers.

This role will also work closely with our Field Sales team and Marketing teams to collaborate on scheduled demonstrations and opportunities.

Your Impact & Responsibilities:


  • Engage with incoming prospects with requests for demonstrations, quotes, trials and general information on Avanan solutions. Your objective is to discover needs of prospects, and schedule demonstrations for senior management, developers and IT within medium to larger Fortune 500 corporations within many industries including financial, education, technology and healthcare.
  • Maintain minimum daily outbound call volume of 5070 calls
  • Setting qualified demonstrations for Field Sales to qualify prospects that become pipeline opportunities
  • Outbound call prospecting to inbound Marketing created leads and cold calling to new opportunities
  • Keep close tabs on the status of prospects, detailing their needs, tracking discussions, and intelligently following up
  • Perform pain discovery and provide demos to potential customers interested in a firsthand look at the Avanan's award winning solutions.
  • Continually increase size of opportunities and overall pipeline for your sales territory

Here's the know-how and expertise we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • 15 years of cold calling and inbound request follow up, with expertise in persuasiveness and negotiation
  • Looking to build a longterm career in Sales
  • A relentless drive to connect with, listen, inform, and convert leads into qualified demonstrations
  • Ambitious, independent, and goaldriven with a laserlike focus on exceeding your metrics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and great organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency in cold calling with proven track record of success
