Role Description:

This position serves as AbbVie's lead privacy compliance professional for assigned AbbVie Affiliates and business units, ensuring the business effectively administers and enhances AbbVie's privacy compliance program.

Responsibilities:

Primary point of contact for any privacy compliance questions for assigned AbbVie Affiliates and business units.
Escalate any issues as appropriate to the Director Privacy International.
Provide privacy compliance counseling on business initiatives and projects.
Monitor data flows and maintain records in coordination with local functions.
Serve as point of contact for any global or regional privacy project that requires local implementation activities.
Raise local privacy awareness through training and communication.
Provide assistance to Incident Response Team with managing any data breaches originating in or having an impact on the assigned Affiliates and business units.
Support and operate on AbbVie Privacy tools as for example ADCT and DRS.
Support any privacy audits for the assigned Affiliates and business units.
Help design monitoring plans to effectively measure compliance to the privacy program's key requirements for the assigned Affiliates and business units and identify concern areas early.
Regularly report on privacy metrics for the assigned Affiliates and business units and key internal and external privacy compliance trends and developments to management and key functions.
Stay abreast of industry and privacy developments to proactively maintain and enhance the privacy compliance program at AbbVie.
Manage one direct report operating in the LATAM region.
Affinity with technology and privacy matters.
Familiarity with privacy compliance processes and practices and enterprise technology systems, such as HR management and CRM systems.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across a global organization.
Excellent English language skills, Spanish language is required, Portuguese is a plus.
Prior privacy and/or security certifications or credentials (e.g. CIPP) are a plus.
