implementing massively scalable services, automating all systems operations, measuring, and continuously improving the service quality. While keeping Aircall on its hyperscale mission.

To achieve this goal, we are looking for talented
-
Database Reliability Engineers and Senior Database Reliability Engineer in our Paris or Madrid and London offices - or
-
working remotely in France, Spain and Portugal.

What your work day will look like:

-
Operate our
AWS Cloud Infrastructure services datastores: RDS Aurora MySQL, RDS Aurora PostgreSQL OpenSearch, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, S3, etc
:

Monitor and troubleshoot issues and incidents.
Collaborate with Engineers, SRE, QA, Security and Architecture teams from the start of every project.
Maintain uptodate documentation
Improve the automation and best practices.
Perform scheduled maintenance.

-
Spread a DBRE culture within Aircall teams
:

Actively participate in oncall rotation.
Able to context switch when required.
5% of your time will be dedicated to learning and improving soft skills or technical skills

What we are looking for:

You are pragmatic, can challenge the statusquo, can work autonomously and are curious. You are able to embrace change at pace.

-
You have strong experience with SQL datastores and their optimization:

-
You have strong experience with a cloud provider (AWS would be the preference)
:

You have a good experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Terraform and Cloudformation and with CI/CD pipelines like GitlabCI:
Keep up to date with AWS services and features and understand how these can be applied to our environment.

You have experience with large scale, complex distributed systems
:

You have basic to strong development skills
:

You are familiar with the Google SRE 4 golden signals: latency, traffic, errors, saturation.
Able to manage a backlog within a simple Jira based Kanban board

You are able to clearly communicate in English with a wide range of stakeholders:
