Vestas Development is a newly established business unit within Vestas that encourages new growth while supporting the existing business in all development aspects.


Responsabilities


As an Environmental Professional, you will be committed to the Vestas Development EMEA&LATAM team and will be performing environmental and urban pre-feasibility analysis for the Spanish market and support the Development team with a very high focus on projects developed in Spain.

Furthermore, you will be involved in the day-to-day issues of supporting and improving the business together with environmental and urban stakeholders outside Vestas Development Spain.


This includes the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of environmental and urban regulations and restrictions (at national, regional, and local levels).
  • Environmental and Urban prefeasibility analysis & reporting for decisionmaking on land options.
  • Review of windfarm layouts from an environmental and urban perspective.
  • Liaison with external Environmental and Urban consultants, including review and followup on birdlife, EIA and other studies.
  • Preparation of environmental and urban documentation during permitting process (at national and regional levels).
  • Coordination with and support to the Development team regarding relevant environmental and urban stakeholders (city councils, environmental authorities, etc).
  • Support on other Project Development tasks and countries as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master level degree on Environmental or related sciences
  • Minimum 2year experience in project development (as developer or as consultant to developer) in the renewable energy industry is require
  • User of GIS Tools (Q-Gis, ArcGis, Google Earth, etc).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
