We are looking for a Program Manager to join our Data Science and Search team within the Customer Care & Data Science organization.

This is a great opportunity to manage medium to large internal technology projects and programs, including managing risk to business value, status, timelines, and milestones.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • 5+ years of experience as lead project manager on complex technology projects.
  • Demonstrated Program and Project Management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Systems, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
  • Expertise and experience with a software development lifecycle, Agile development, Jira, Structure and Confluence
  • Strong communication and meeting facilitation skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
It would be great if you also had...

  • Knowledge of data science, search and shared platform services processes, tools, and techniques
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Agile certification(s)
  • AWS certification or cloud computing experience
What will you be doing in this role?

  • Supporting Data Science Product Managers with quarterly roadmap planning and delivery, primarily for Platform Services including identity and access management and the API gateway.
  • Partnering closely with technology team members to understand their plans and initiatives, including definition of business impact and technical dependencies.
  • Participating in planning and prioritization activities to maintain a healthy project portfolio.
  • Acting as lead project manager on high profile initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining individual project plans and reporting accurate status.
  • Leading standups, Scrum of Scrum ceremonies, grooming sessions, and other meetings to support successful program delivery.
  • Collaborating with business, architecture, development, development operations and other teams to ensure transparency, efficient coordination of dependencies and delivery success.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to discuss program status.
  • Managing resource allocations across the program portfolio.
  • Identifying and implementing key process improvements to help the team work more efficiently.
Product you will be developing


Our scientists and engineers use Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Information Retrieval to solve problems in different Clarivate business units in the Intellectual Property, Academic and Government, and Life Sciences segments.

About the Team

  • Our Data Science team comprises a dynamic group of over 90 experts specializing in data science, search solutions, content management, enterprise platform services and identity management.
  • The team culture is about openness and collaboration with a focus on excellence and value adding innovation.
  • With a global presence, our team consists of experts located in Europe, Asia, and North America.
  • You'll be reporting to the Lead Program Manager.
Hours of Work

  • This is a permanent fulltime position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August).
  • The working schedule is flexible, mostly centered on CET time zone with occasional need to accommodate late or early meetings with the US or East Asia time zones.
  • The position is hybrid going into the office in Barcelona 23 times per week.
