The program covers a wide range of needs (a specific study plan for each student); commercial, financial, technical or any other type of skill the student may require. Otherwise, we follow a grammar, vocabulary and oral fluency-based program adapting to the students level. Each group (made up of a maximum of students with a similar level) will be assigned the same number of teachers of different nationalities and backgrounds in order to expose the students to an array of accents and teaching approaches. PROGRAM SPECIFICS There are two program formats: Weekly – 5 days, from Sunday to Friday: A combination of 35 hours of classroom English with another 35 hours of socialEnglish. Weekend - 2 days, from Friday to Sunday: A combination of 12 hours of classroom English with another 16 hours of social English. These programs take place throughout the year, which are filled according to demand. The peak season goes from April to October, so more work is available between those months. TEACHERS CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Prepare classes and materials. 2. Follow the Company’s teaching method. 3. Hand in student reports – at the end of each program. 4. Correct students’homework. 5. Hand in monthly invoices. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  All candidates must be in Spain legally (work permit, EU citizenship – social security and residency number)  You will be asked to meet legal freelance regulations: “AUTÓNOMO”. WHAT WE OFFER  The high profile of the students (business people from small, medium and large companies between their 30’s and 50’s), the content of the course and the dedication of the students are aspects that our teachers value highly.  Training to communicate our philosophy, method, explain what material is available and the class/billing procedures (Approximately 5 days (nonpaid), including practical classes with real students as part of the training).  A selection of material available, both ours and from other publishers, which will help reinforce everything that needs to be taught in class (grammar and listening exercises for each level).   As a new teacher, you will be working as an observer/collaborator the very first time getting half the pay. Do you like working with children? If you are responsible, imaginative, caring and full of energy, this might be the summer job you are looking for! PROGRAM OVERVIEW Can you imagine every nook and cranny of every street of every corner of a quaint Spanish town filled with teenagers from around the globe? Well such a place exists and it’s called Pueblo Ingles for Teens! Pueblo Ingles is an English immersion course for Spanish students to practice English without having to travel abroad. Since July 2004 we have “taught” English to Spaniards and welcomed thousands of English-speaking teenagers to our little villages, where the official language is no longer Spanish. During the program they are accompanied by Counselors who are in charge of managing groups of 8 to 10 children (Spaniards and volunteers). The program is directed by the Program Director and the Master of Ceremonies, who will be in charge of making sure that the program is following the structure it is supposed to as well as organizing activities, and providing support to the Counselors. The Summer programs for Kids don’t have English-speaking volunteers, so the counselors will be the ones in charge of exposing the children to English language through games, sports, theatre and plenty of activities. PROGRAM SPECIFICS • Location: Our camps take place at a number of rural resorts (all with an assortment of sports and leisure facilities • Ages: Kids - 7 to 12 year olds and Teens - 13 to 17 year olds. • Schedule: Full time, 24/7 job. • Dates: We have 4 weeks of our “traditional” Pueblo Inglés Kids & Teens programs 2017: Week 1: Training on the 28th, pickups and logistics on the 29th, camp from the 30th of June to the 7th of July , drop offs and logistics on the 8th. Week 2: Training on the 5th of July, pickups and logistics on the 6th , camp from the 7th of July to the 14th of July , drop offs and logistics on the 15th. Week 3: Training on the 12th of July, pickups and logistics on the 13th, camp from the 14th of July to the 21st of July, drop offs and logistics on the 22nd. Week 4: Training on the 19th of July, pickups and logistics on the 20th, camp from the 21st of July to the 28th of July, drop offs and logistics on the 29th. We also have the FOUR weeks of the camps for the Public Education System. Week 1 and week 2: Training on the 30th of June, pickups and logistics on the 1st of July , camp from the 2nd of July to the 15th of July , drop offs and logistics on the 16th. Week 3 and week 4: Training on the 14th of July, pickups and logistics on the 15th of July,camp from the 16th of July to the 29th of July, drop offs and logistics on the 30th. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • Age: Kids summer camps: counselors must be at least 21 years old Teens summer camps: counselors must be at least 22 years old • Languages: Must be a native English speaker or have a bilingual level. • EU-citizens • Desirable previous camp experience, 1 to 2 proven years of working with children. Teaching experience is an advantage and might be required for some of the residential camps. • Non-smokers preferred. It is expressly forbidden to smoke when in the presence of children (as stated by Spanish Law) WHAT WE OFFER • Contract: We offer a Spanish employment. You are under contract for the duration of the program, including the day before and after the program for airport pickups and drops offs as well as chaperoning in Madrid. Example of 2 programs work: Week 1: Training on the 28th of June, pickups and logistics on 29th of June, camp from the 30th of June to the 7th of July. Week 2: Camp from the 7th of July to the 14th of July, drop offs and logistics on the 15th. • Training: You have to be in Madrid for Training and Contract signing. We provide accommodation for the airport pick-up night (if you do not reside in Madrid), but the Training night will be at your own expense. • Salary: To be confirmed. Food an accommodation provided at the camps.
