Hello! My name is Sydney, I’m an American currently living in Spain as an English teacher and in 2019 I lived in India doing the same thing. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and teaching both around the world brings me joy! For the last 8yrs I have worked as a professional nanny and tutor. I’ve worked with kids ranging from 4 months to 14yrs of age and I’ve tutored everything in between. My students here in Spain tell me that American English is way easier to understand and learning with me has helped them learn more than they have in previous school years. That is why I’m making this profile—I want to help as many people as I can while I’m in Europe. I’m open to just conversation classes or structured curriculum based on your goals and, most importantly, I’m excited to work with you.

Miss Sydney 

I have worked professionally as a babysitter for the last 8 years. I have worked with babies from 4-months old to 14 years old. Most of my experience is with toddlers. My approach to babysitting is similar to Montessori—a lot of hands on learning. I enjoy crafts, reading, cooking and exploring the outdoors as I feel this is the best way children learn. I have a degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo and many classes I took focused on child development. 

On top of being a professional nanny, I have lived in India and now Spain as as and English teacher. Throughout the pandemic I worked as a tutor for children in Spanish dual-immersion as well. I believe different languages and culture create a rich learning environment for children.
