Sandra Montejano Cánovas

My name is Sandra Montejano Cánovas, after finishing my biomedical engineering studies,
pending the presentation of the TFG, and with work experience as a C++/C/Python software
developer, I am writing to express my great interest in a position related to my university studies,
where I can deepen and apply the knowledge I have acquired.
During my studies, I have carried out internships at the Hospital Universitario de La Princesa and
the Hospital Universitario del Sureste. At the Hospital de La Princesa, I started a project, which
is my current TFG, which consists of the analysis of the morphological characteristics of the left
atrium of patients who have suffered cryptogenic stroke, to see if there is a relationship with the
appearance of atrial fibrillation in these patients. For this, I have used 3D slicer for image
segmentation, made a code related to feature extraction, and implemented an Artificial
Intelligence model to obtain the results. In the second one, I carried out a Deep Learning project
that consisted of detecting the glycaemic index of food from an image.
Thanks to my studies and internships, I have acquired knowledge related to the world of
biomedical engineering:
• I have worked with languages such as Python (it has been the main language, and with
which I have done most of the practices), C for the use of Arduino, and I have worked
with tools such as Matlab for the analysis and treatment of discrete signals, and MySQL
for database management.
• On the other hand, I have acquired knowledge about biomedical equipment, covering
all imaging modalities, hospital management, medicine (pathology, physiology,
biochemistry, etc.), image analysis, and signal processing, among other things.
• At the same time, I have had the possibility to work in laboratories using oscilloscopes,
signal generators, Arduino, and I have even learned how to make hydrogels for
biomedical purposes.

Desde enero 2024 -Actualidad
Proyecto Spainsat NG:
Ejecución de pruebas eléctricas en antenas de recepción y
transmisión, esenciales para el funcionamiento de satélites.
Participación activa con equipos de AIRBUS, realizando ensayos
funcionales para asegurar la operatividad y seguridad de las antenas.
Desarrollo y mantenimiento de software utilizando Python.
Gestión de requisitos y documentación del proyecto mediante la
herramienta JIRA.
 

Desarrolladora de Software en TECNOBIT.
Desde mayo 2022- noviembre 2023
Proyecto G2G (Galileo segunda generación): proyecto para la
Agencia Espacial Europea.
He realizado tareas de diseño del proyecto con herramientas UML
dirigidas a programación orientada a objetos (diagramas de clases).
Desarrollo de software C/C++/Python de alto nivel relacionado con el
cifrado y descifrado de datos, utilizando conceptos de criptografía
simétrica y asimétrica para la creación de canales de comunicación
seguros.

Tareas relacionadas con el desarrollo de software de bajo nivel,
software embebido, trabajando con FPGAs, haciendo posible la
interacción SW-PL utilizando AXI.
Implementación de pruebas C/C++ (testing).
Proyecto GEODE: desarrollo de software embebido para receptor de
señal red de satélite Galileo PRS estandarizado para su uso en entornos
gubernamentales.
Administración de control de versiones con SVN.
Gestión de requisitos y documentación del proyecto mediante la
herramienta DOORS.
