Acerca de Samuel Cohen Kellner:

I am a Level Designer and artist based in Barcelona, with a background in Fine Arts, which serve as a constant inspiration. My main goal is to integrate notions of art -such as composition, lighting or coloring- into level design, make both disciplines feel natural together. I have a passion for things that make me learn or stimulate my mind, so my hobbies and interests are varied. Some examples are cinema, photography, vintage lenses, travelling, cooking, drawing, Japanese language, or LEGOs. 

Until recently, I have been working on increasingly bigger indie/AA projects; now I would like to collaborate with a bigger team to keep refining my skills, while contributing with my current and future knowledge in exchange.

Experiencia

LEVEL DESIGNER | June 2020 - December 2022 

Company: Piccolo Studio

Project: After Us, for Private Division (Take-Two Interactive Software) 

Platforms: Xbox | PlayStation 5 | Steam | Epic Store 

• Worked through the whole cycle of production, from the first prototyped levels to the end. I made many corners around the game while working with the artists and programmers, and created a whole level from scratch. I also assisted other level designers when necessary, collaborated with more general aspects of the game design, and did bits of environment art.

 

PROTOTYPING ASSISTANCE | Jan. 2020 - May 2020 

Company: Appnormals Team. 

Project: Terracotta, for Freedom Games Steam 

• Helped prototype the first levels of the game. 

 

LEVEL & PUZZLE DESIGNER, CREATIVE/ART DIRECTOR, FOUNDER | June 2015 - Nov. 2019 

Company: Altered Matter.

Project: Etherborn, for Akupara Games, 20th Century Fox, Humble 

Platforms: Nintendo Switch | PlayStation 4 | Xbox One | GOG | Humble Store | Steam | Epic Store 

• Created and tested the entirety of the levels and puzzles. 

• Directed and supervised all the main creative aspects. 

• Produced the art. 

•Managed the project.

 

ART INTERN | 2014-2015 (4 months) 

Company: A Crowd of Monsters. 

Project: Blues and Bullets 

Platforms: Steam | Playstation 4 | Xbox One 

• Provided assets. 3D models, illustrations & art for the game world.

Master’s Degree in Video Game Art and Design at the UPC (Polytechnic University of Barcelona).
