Sobre Raquel Martínez Hernández:
My name is Raquel Martínez Hernández. I am passionate about the fields of human rights and more specifically health and food security activities, as these are issues that I believe the EU does not pay enough attention to and, as I have seen through my training, need to regulate and create new existing laws to eradicate current problems such as hunger and poverty. I am currently studying a Master's degree in European Studies with a specialisation in Public Policy. This degree has given me a deeper knowledge and understanding of the functioning of European affairs through a global approach. In addition to my knowledge of decision-making and critical thinking, I have increased my curiosity in the fields of health and food, as this is an area I would like to specialise in. My passion for languages and my motivation to pursue an international career as well as my interest in their quality of education led me to choose England, France and the Netherlands, as well as making me feel comfortable in an international environment. Their practice-based education systems have provided me with key tools to understand and develop my capacity for critical analysis and to question things that I would never have thought about in a different environment. However, the most rewarding part of my training has been my time in societies such as the United Nations and volunteering, such as teaching war refugees, which helped me to engage on a more personal level.

Educación
My name is Raquel Martínez Hernández. I am currently studying a Master's degree in European Studies with a specialization in Public Policy, European Institutions and Governance. This problem-based system degree has given me a deeper knowledge and understanding of the functioning of European affairs through a global approach. My BA was a double degree in International Relations and Modern Languages (French and Italian) at the University of Essex, UK, where I consolidated my knowledge of international politics and developed my critical thinking and analytical skills. In 2019 I cursed a month in Scudit Scuola in Rome, to improve my level of Italian, which helped me to get confident and fluent with the language. In 2022 I coursed a year in Lyon, France, to reinforce the language as part of my degree. During this year I reinforced not only the French language but also Italian through the political history of both countries.
